Boop — Privacy Policy

Boop is a Chrome extension that helps business owners analyze customer reviews and generate replies using AI. This privacy policy explains what data we handle and how.

What we collect

Review text and ratings — read from public Google Maps pages you visit, sent to AI for analysis
Google Business Profile data — only the business locations and reviews you authorize via Google sign-in
Your Gemini API key — stored locally in your browser, never sent to our servers

What we don't collect

We don't collect personal browsing history
We don't track you across the web
We don't sell or share your data with third parties
We don't store the content of your reviews on our servers (analysis happens in real-time)

How we use data

Review text is sent to Google's Gemini AI API for analysis and reply generation. Once the response is returned to you, the data is not retained by Boop.

If you connect your Google Business Profile, we use that connection only to post replies you approve. We never post without your action or your configured auto-pilot rules.

Your rights

You can disconnect Google access anytime in Boop settings. You can uninstall the extension to remove all local data. To request data deletion or ask questions, email privacy@boop.app.

If we update this policy, we'll change the date above and notify active users via email.
